How can we redefine the farmhouse from a traditional production space to one that meets modern needs? How can small communities like Albæk attract a new generation and revitalize declining populations by encouraging a return to the countryside?

Aaben Studio has developed a transformative strategy that includes:

3. Transformation through diversity

The project challenges the static typology of the single-family detached house, proposing a diversity of spaces through transformation. This includes co-habitation spaces and individual studio apartments for a wide range of users, such as students, refugees, single parents, temporary workers, artists-in-residence, and others.
