Aaben Studio is initiated by Nikita Gyawali, an architect and designer based in Aarhus, Denmark. Her work focuses on socially engaged and humanitarian architecture, addressing pressing challenges related to housing, inclusion, and community empowerment. She holds a Master’s degree from Aarhus School of Architecture and a Bachelor of Science in Architecture from the University of Texas at Arlington.

Her projects demonstrate a strong commitment to vulnerable communities, including her involvement in housing solutions for the homeless through Projekt UDENFOR with Architects Without Borders, and initiatives supporting rural livelihoods in Nepal with Dansk International Bosætningsservice.

Nikita’s work has been featured in publications such as Rumsans (2024), Future Architecture Platform (2017), and Architecture for Refugees (2017), underscoring her ongoing dedication to architecture as a catalyst for social transformation and humanitarian impact.
